Kevin Strootman's agent has revealed that Manchester United had not shown interest in his client during the summer transfer window.
Widespread reports had claimed that the Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal was keen on signing the Netherlands international, with a January switch likely on the cards.
However, Fabio Parisi has claimed that United had shown no interest in the talented midfielder, who is currently recovering from an anterior cruciate ligament injury.
"There is no kind of interest on Strootman. He is recovering from his injury and will be available soon to contribute to Roma's cause." He said.
"For the rest, I say that is just talk and there is nothing, it's all just speculation from England."
Strooman made 25 appearances for Roma last season before suffering the injury at the back-end of the campaign.
