Former Arsenal and Chelsea striker Nicolas Anelkas has agreed on a short-term move to Indian League side Mumbai FC.
The French striker has been a free-agent since his controversial exit from West Bromwich Albion last season.
Anelka had been recently linked with a switch to Fiorentina, but his agent Alexander Garini has rubbished claims on the speculation by insisting that the 35-year-old would ply his trade for the Indian outfit until Christmas.
"Fiorentina never made contact with Anelka," He said. "Anelka signed a deal with Mumbai FC and so there is no chance of a U-turn."
"The contract will expire on December 25, I have it, so there are no problems. We have never had contacts with Viola, so the news that said this is false."
