Wayne Routledge signs new deal at Swansea

25 September 2014 - 14:14

Swansea City winger Wayne Routledge has signed a one-year extension to his current contract prolonging his stay at the club until 2018.

  • Chelsea expected to sell striker after loan deal
  • Arsenal defender misses training ahead of Man Utd game

  • The 29-year-old has been one of the top performers in the Premier League for the Welsh outfit in recent seasons.

This is what the Swans boss Garry Monk had to say on the new deal : "He deserves it because in my time here he's probably been our most consistent performer – and he's still performing,"

"His time before coming here was well documented but he's now found a home, somewhere he can be himself."

Routledge joined the Swans from Newcastle United in the summer of 2011.
