Talented winger Juan Cuadrado has been told that he must stay at Fiorentina for the time being. Man Utd were amongst the teams believed to have shown interest in the forward man.

  • The 26-year-old, who starred for his country of Colombia at the World Cup, had been locked in talks with several teams but decided to stay in Serie A.

Now the winger looks set to go one step further and put pen to paper on a fresh contract with his current club.

"Last summer I had offers from two top European clubs for Cuadrado, but they were not sufficient to deal with Fiorentina," said the player's agent, Alessandro Lucci.

"They didn't want to sell Cuadrado less than an indecent offer."
