Arsenal will not make a move for Paris St Germain forward Edinson Cavani, even if the striker will leave the French capital in search of a new club.
Cavani has struggled to reproduce the form that made him one of the world's most feared strikers and is believed to be looking for a return to Italy as soon as possible.
Arsenal were amongst the teams linked with a move for the striker, but it appears their interest in Cavani has recently cooled.
The form of Danny Welbeck appears to have meant Arsenal will turn their attentions to strengthening their defensive ranks as opposed to their attacking options.
The Gunners had been linked with a 40 million euro bid for Cavani.
