Arsenal midfield star Mesut Ozil looks set to miss at least three months of first-team action with a knee injury, according to the German Football Association.
The 25-year-old played his part during the Gunners' 2-0 loss at Chelsea over the weekend.
However, he complained of a problem with his left knee when he arrived at the German camp recently.
According to the German Football Association website, the talented midfielder has a damage to the joint which would keep him out of first-team duties until the New Year.
"The treatment is... six weeks of immobilisation of the knee joint. Mesut Ozil is likely to be [out for] 10 to 12 weeks." The statement read.
The news will come as a big blow for the Gunners, who are already without Welsh midfielder Aaron Ramsey due to a hamstring injury.
