Gourcuff for Arsenal?

Gourcuff for Arsenal?

11 December 2007 - 20:47

Arsenal have been linked with a move for AC Milan's unsettled French playmaker Yoann Gourcuff. The Frenchman only played 21 times for the Italian giants last year, and the player labelled "the new Zidane" is keen for a move to the Premiership.

  • This season he has been forced to sit on the bench and wait his chance but Gourcuff has become increasingly unhappy with his bit part role.

Arsenal are likely to baulk at the £14 million price slapped on his head, but Wenger could instead offer £7.5 million to bring the playmaker to London.

Gourcuff has been at Milan for nearly two years since joining from Rennes, but has yet to have the opportunity to show the flashes of brilliance he displayed on a regular basis in France.
