The Spain international is currently a free-agent following his decision to leave the Catalan giants at the end of last season.

Recent reports had claimed that the talented shot-stopper could make a move to Old Trafford, having trained with the club in recent weeks.

However, it now seems that the 32-year-old has rejected the offer, as he is unwilling to play back-up to David de Gea at the Mancunian giants.

The report adds that the veteran goalie could favour a switch to Liverpool where he could challenge Belgian international Simon Mignolet for the number one spot.
