Arsenal could reportedly make their move for FC Basel defender Fabian Schar, according to The Mirror.
The Swiss international, who has been previously linked with a move to the Premier League, is believed to be keen on a fresh challenge in the upcoming transfer window.
"My dream remains to have an experience abroad. I've always said that if the opportunity presented itself, I would take it, obviously in agreement with Basel," Schar said.
This is likely to renew interest from Gunners boss Arsene Wenger, who is believed to be a huge fan of the talented defender.
Arsenal host Anderlecht in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
