A report this weekend suggested that United are ready to spend up to 9 million pounds to secure Deeney's signing and are confident a deal will be completed in the January transfer window. Deeney is desperate to play Premier League football and the interest of Man Utd is sure to surprise many, but many Championship fans have been somewhat used to seeing regular impressive performances from the Watford man.
