Manchester United are inching closer to sealing a deal for one of Netherlands' best, according to a report.
The Red Devils have been linked with a move for Roma star Kevin Strootman over the past year, but have yet to make any progress over a transfer agreement.
However, Strootman's agent Matteo Materazzi has revealed that the Netherlands international is nearing the top of his game, and could ink a deal with United in the upcoming transfer window.
"Manchester are one step away from Kevin Strootman," He said.
"The British club will pay €40m (£32m) into the coffers of the Giallorossi."
Strootman joined the Capital outfit from PSV Eindhoven in 2013.
