29 December 2014 - 13:14

Ligue 1 outfit Bordeaux are hopeful of sealing a loan deal for Arsenal striker Yaya Sanogo, according to a French source.

  • Juventus and Napoli enter race for Chelsea winger
  • Felix Nmecha linked with Chelsea move
  • Sanogo, who has yet to score a league goal for the Gunners, is believed to be on the radar of several French and English clubs.

According to L'Equipe, Les Girondins are keen on signing a new striker in the New Year in order to provide adequate cover for striker Cheick Diabate, who will be leaving the French side for the African Cup of Nations.

In addition to this, Bordeaux consider Yaya Sanogo's loan transfer as the perfect fit to maintain their push for an European qualification spot.

Arsenal are currently fifth in the Premier League following their 2-1 win at West Ham United on Sunday.
