The Spain international has been limited to appearance off the bench at the Basque club, and is seeking a fresh challenge away from Vicente Calderon in the New Year.

Widespread reports claim that the Gunners are keen on taking advantage of the Suarez's situation at Atleti by offering him a temporary switch to the Emirates.

In addition to this, the Gunners could have the option of signing the 27-year-old on a permanent contract at the end of the season, should he impress in his spell at the club.
