Liverpool lead the chase for Bayern Munich midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri having reportedly submitted a formal offer for the player's services.
The Swiss international has found first-team chances hard to come by at the Bavarian giants this season in spite of excellent showing for the national side at the World Cup finals in Brazil over the summer.
According to The Express, Bayern will look to sell the talented midfielder rather than loan him out, and this puts the Reds at the top of the chasing pack.
