Ramos victory pride

Ramos' victory pride

16 December 2007 - 00:49

Juande Ramos has spoken of his pride as Tottenham picked up a hugely important victory over Portsmouth at Fratton Park on Saturday. The 81st minute goal from Berbatov was enough to snatch a 1-0 victory from under Pompey's noses.

  • Enzo Fernandez wants to leave Chelsea
  • Man Utd set to hold contract talks with experienced star
  • "I'm very happy and it was important that we won our first away game," said Ramos.

"It's also important that we've won two league games in a row and we need to follow that path.

"We could have killed the game off earlier and had chances. We had control of the game.

"Berbatov scored the goal but we need to recognise the effort of the whole team, not just one player. Football is a game of 11 players.

"The team is more and more confident, we're training hard and getting results.

"I'm very, very proud of what the team has done today."
