Arsenal are reckoned as front-runners to land the services of one of Serie's A best next summer.
Palermo striker Paulo Dybala had been constantly linked with a switch to the Premier League in January, with the Gunners keen on acquiring his services.
According to Metro, the Gunners are ahead of the Red Devils in the race to sign the talented Argentine striker at the end of the current campaign.
The report adds that Palermo would allow the 21-year-old's sale for a fee of around £29.5m in the summer transfer window.
Dybala has notched up 11 goals in 20 games for the Serie A outfit this season.
