Arsenal are inching closer to the signing of one of Serie A's best, according to a report.

Palermo striker Paulo Dybala has been on the Gunners radar over the past few months.

Rosanero president Maurizio Zamparini revealed this week that the club could be forced to offload their star asset in order to recoup funds for new recruits in the summer.

According to Metro, the Gunners are said to be among the front-runners to land the 21-year-old's signature at the end of the season.

Reports elsewhere reveal that Serie A outfit have opened up talks with English clubs, and will settle for a fee of around £30m for the talented youngster.
