Serie A side AC Milan are preparing a summer move for Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick, according to a report.

The England international's existing deal at Old Trafford expires at the end of the current campaign, thus opening the possibility of a Bosman transfer.

According to CalcioMercato, the Rossoneri is confident of luring the talented midfielder to the San Siro, with United yet to offer a contract extension to the former Spurs man.

Carrick has made just 13 appearances for United this season due to a series of injuries.
