Manager Diego Simeone has apparently stalled talks over a new deal at the Atletico Madrid, as he is eagerly awaiting a vacancy at Manchester City.

Recent report have revealed that City boss Manuel Pellegrini could be relieved from his duties at the end of the season, should he fail to help the club retain the Premier League title.

According to The Mirror, Simeone is playing the waiting game over a new deal at Atleti as he is eager to land the Manchester City job next summer.

Simeone lead Atleti to their first La Liga title in 18 years last season.
