The Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal will look to shore up his midfielder options in the summer, and considers the 21-year-old as one of his main transfer targets.

According to Metro, United are reckoned as front runners to seal the signature of the highly-rated midfielder for a fee in the region of £14.5m this summer.

Silva has made 32 appearances for Braga this season.
