French champions Paris Saint-Germain are believed to have made a club-record bid for Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Ballon d'Or winner is understood to be unhappy with the club's lack of trophies in spite of him scoring goals on a consistent basis.

Reports in France claim that Les Parisiens are ready to seal a deal for the Portuguese skipper, and have made a record offer worth £89m to lure Los Blancos into his sale.

It is further added that Real Madrid chairman Florentino Perez does not consider Ronaldo irreplaceable, and may well look to recoup funds for new recruits this summer.
