Manchester City are planning a summer move for Barcelona midfielder Alex Song, according to a report.
The 27-year-old plyed his trade on loan for West Ham United in the recently concluded Premier League season.
However, The Hammers failed in their attempt to make his temporary move a permanent one.
According to ESPN, the Citizens are keen on signing up the former Cameroon international this summer, in order to increase their homegrown quota.
Song is eligible to be a homegrown player, having spent three years at Arsenal before turning 21.
