Celtic have become surprise contenders to sign Real Madrid youngster Martin Odegaard on loan for next season.

Odegaard is expected to be loaned out this summer, as the club look to provide the Norwegian international with sufficient first-team experience.

Spanish sides Real Betis and Valencia have been linked with the talented youngster in recent weeks, but Eurosport cites that the Scottish champions are also keen on secure a temporary deal for the young midfielder.
