Everton are to compete a deal to sign Spanish striker Gerard Deulofeu. The forward spent some time on loan at Goodison Park in the 2013/14 season.

A disappointing loan spell at Sevilla last campaign means that Deulofeu will be heading back to Barcelona, where he is unlikely to feature in the first team on a regular basis. Everton are ready to fork out the reported 8 million euros required to snap up the winger. Deulofeu was hugely popular at the Toffees, but after his short spell at the club, manager Roberto Martinez was unable to agree a permanent deal for the player.
