Besiktas have had their opening offer of 5 million euros accepted for Newcastle striker Papiss Cisse. The Senegalese forward is set for a move this month and will head for Turkey.
Cisse struggled for regular first team football last season and instructed his agent to help him find a new club elsewhere. Besiktas are long term admirers of Cisse and are confident that an agreement can be reached in time for the new season. Cisse has a year remaining on his Newcastle United deal.
