Arsenal are poised to offer a new five-year deal to England international Jack Wilshere, amidst speculation of a move to Manchester City.
City have been linked with a £40m deal for the talented midfielder, who recently bagged his a brace for the national side as they beat Slovenia by a 3-2 scoreline in the European qualifiers.
According to The Mirror, the Gunners' hierarchy will look to ward off interest from the Citizens, by offering a new five-year deal to the 23-year-old.
It is added that the North London giants are willing to double his current wages to get through with the contract extension.
