Arsenal are beating the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea in the race to sign Napoli defender Faouzi Ghoulam.

The Algerian international joined the Naples outfit from French side Saint Etienne two seasons ago.

Ghoulam was impressive in the Europa League last season, as Napoli bowed out in the semi-final stage to eventual runners-up Dnipro.

Chelsea were believed to be interested in signing up the talented left-back, with United also tracking the player's transfer staus.

However, The Express now claims that the Gunners are winning the player's pursuit, and could seal the player's services for a &pound10m fee this summer.
