Demba Ba has rebuffed the chance to join West Bromwich Albion for a switch to the Chinese Super League.
The Baggies were believed to be closing on the services of the Senegalese international, who was keen on a return to the English top flight.
However, the talented striker has now shockingly rejected the transfer, and has agreed to join Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua for a reported fee of £9.5m.
Manager Tony Pulis will now have to elsewhere to boost up his frontline.
