Southampton confident of signing Belgian star

Southampton are confident of landing the signature of Marseille midfielder Giannelli Imbula as a replacement for outbound star Morgan Schneiderlin.

Schneiderlin is expected to make his way to United this week, having seen the clubs agree on a £25m transfer fee.

It is now widely reported that the Saints will look to bring in Imbula in a £15m deal as a like-for-like replacement for the French international.

Imbula has stated his desire to move to a new league following Marseille's failure to qualify for the Champions League.
