Aston Villa to sign Idrissa Gueye

Aston Villa hae agreed a deal to sign Lille midfielder Idrissa Gueye, according to Sky Sports.

The Senegalese international was ready to leave the Ligue 1 outfit for fresh pastures elsewhere.

Sky Sports now reveals that the 25-year-old will make a move to Villa Park this summer, having seen the clubs agree on a £9m fee.

Marseille were also keen on signing the African star, but they were unable to match the Villains with the transfer fee.

Gueye made 134 league appearances for the French side.
