Juventus are hoping to clinch the signature of Palermo's Brazilian striker Amauri in the January transfer window. To add a twist to the rumour, Amauri's agent himself is insisting that Juve would prefer to sign his player rather than Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, who many believe is set to join Juventus.
âClaudio Ranieriâs dream attacking duo from July onwards would consist of David Trezeguet and Amauri,â the Dutchmanâs agent in Italy, Vincenzo Morabito, was quoted as saying during the Radio Radio TV show. âJuventus think Klaas-Jan is good enough for them, but if they were to cash out the same amount of money for either of them theyâd go for Amauri, as heâs already familiar with Italian football.â
Amauri is valued at around £12 million but Huntelaar may be available for £9 million, so although Huntelaar is a cheaper option; Amauri appears to be the more valuable due to his experience in Serie A.
