Manchester City are confident that they can land the signature of Liverpool winger Raheem Sterling for a fee in the region of £40m this summer.
The Reds have been reluctant to offload their star asset for less than £50m during the current transfer window.
However, Sterling's behaviour in recent days could force the Reds to accept any deal close to their valuation for the player.
The Mail cites that City will come up with a final take of leave offer of £40m for the Jamaican born winger.
It is added that the Reds may most likely accept the offer as Sterling is in no mood to play for the club next season.
