Former Liverpool defender Glen Johnson will sign a three-year contract with Stoke City once he has successful medical.
The England international was released by Liverpool following the expiry of his contract earlier this month.
Johnson was tipped to join former club West Ham United, until Stoke City intervened with an improved contract offer.
The 30-year-old is said to be having medical tests this evening, and the Potters could announce his arrival to the club in the coming days.
