Atletico Madrid have officially announced the signing of Belgian winger Yannick Ferreira Carrasco from AS Monaco.
The talented winger is said to have attracted interest from Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur in recent weeks.
However, it is Atleti who have landed the player's signature on a five-year deal for a reported fee of £14.4m.
"We are very satisfied with the agreement reached with Monaco, because Yannick is a player with huge prospects and with an incredible future." sporting director Jose Luis Perez Caminero told the club's official website.
"He is a player with great speed, who's excellent at driving the ball and has a great shot. He will contribute perfectly to our aim of increasing the quality of our team and the competitiveness in the group. I am convinced that he will contribute a lot to the team."
Carrasco is Atleti's third signing of the summer, following the arrivals of Luciano Vietto and Jackson Martinez.
