Liverpool are understood to have made a £22m bid for Real Madrid's Russian winger Denis Cheryshev, The People reports.
The 24-year-old plyed his trade on loan at Villarreal last season, having struggled to make his way into the first-team at the Bernabeu.
According to The People, Los Blancos may look to cash in of the young winger, as he is unlikely to feature in Rafael Benitez's side for the upcoming campaign.
The report adds that the Reds have made a formal offer of around £22m to sign up Cheryshev this summer.
The arrival of Cheryshev to the Reds could well see Jordan Ibe make a loan switch away from Merseyside in order to continue on his development.
