Fenerbahce sign Robin van Persie

Netherlands international Robin van Persie has completed a summer move to Turkish giants Fenerbahce from Manchester United.

The 31-year-old was understood to have travelled to Istanbul recently to undergo a medical and discuss terms on the contract.

It has now been confirmed that the former Arsenal star has joined Fenerbahce for a reported fee of around £4.5m.

Van Persie is understood to have made a switch to Istanbul in order to increase his chances of featuring for the national side in Euro 2016.
