Jonathan Walters has revealed that he is nowhere close to agreeing a new deal, but insists he wants to remain at the Britannia Stadium.
The 31-year-old is in the final year of his contract at Stoke City, and talks has stalled regarding a contract extension in recent weeks.
"There's nothing sorted as of yet," he told The Sentinel "We'll see what happens. I've been here five seasons now.
"Each year we've improved and as a player I still feel like I'm getting better and better each season too. It's a good project to be involved in."
Walters joined the Potters from Championship side Ipswich Town in 2010.
