01 January 2008 - 17:33

Real Mallorca striker Daniel Güiza could be set for a move to the Premiership as Portsmouth are weighing up a transfer bid for the Spanish striker. Middlesbrough and Birmingham are also interested in the striker who has impressed this year in La Liga.

  • Chelsea ready new contract for star midfielder
  • Chelsea make first move to sign Xabi Alonso
  • Harry Redknapp will be without forwards Kanu and John Utaka who disappear for the African Cup of Nations, Güiza, 27, has netted seven goals in his first 12 games for Real Mallorca.

Guiza is rated as one of the best young talents in Spain, however no Spanish sides have yet to make a move for the forward.

It is believed Guiza may be allowed to leave for around £4 million and the striker could meet Portsmouth's requirements for the January transfer window.
