Aranguiz favours Bayer Leverkusen move

Charles Aranguiz snubs Leicester City

02 August 2015 - 17:25

Chilean international Charles Aranguiz has followed up Napoli's Gokhan Inler into rejecting a summer move to Leicester City.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • The 26-year-old was sensational for his national side as they won their first ever Copa America title this summer.

The Foxes are understood to have made a club-record offer for the talented playmaker, as they look for a replacement for Esteban Cambiasso.

However, Aranguiz has insisted that he favours a move to Bundesliga with Bayer Leverkusen, who could offer Champions League football next term.

"The president told me there's a bid from Leicester and it's good for the club. But for me, Leverkusen is important." he told Brazilian TV station Globo.

"I am not talking about money. Between Leverkusen and Leicester, the best is Leverkusen; they're a bigger team. I want to go."
