French striker Karim Benzema has been heavily linked with a switch to the Emirates, in spite of the player's agent ruling out a potential transfer.

According to Spanish publication AS, the Gunners are ready to pay as much as &pound46m for the France international, should he be up for grabs during the transfer window.

Benzema notched up 22 goals in all competitions for Real last term.
