France international Yann M'Vila is close to sealing a summer move to Sunderland, according to reports.

The midfield enforcer had attracted interest from the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United during his time at Rennes.

According to The Mirror, M'Vila is expected to undergo a series of medical tests, ahead of his summer switch to the Stadium of Light.

Sunderland are also on the cusp of signing Queens Park Rangers midfielder Leroy Fer on a season-long loan.
