Leroy Fer fails Sunderland medical

Queens Park Rangers midfielder Leroy Fer has reportedly failed a medical at Sunderland.

The Netherlands international had agreed to join the Black Cats on a season-long loan over the past week.

However, his move has now been shattered as he failed to pass a medical test, and he will now return back to Loftus Road.

Fer had previously failed a medical when on the brink of a move to Everton from FC Twente in January 2013.
