Ever Banega looks set to join Valencia from Boca Juniors. The 19-year-old midfielder is one of the most coveted youngsters in South America, and Valencia fended off interest from Barcelona and Atletico Madrid to complete the signing.
"This is a unique opportunity for me," he told the Spanish radio station. "I will try to do as well there as I have done at Boca."
Banega said that he was planning to leave Buenos Aires on Thursday evening and would be in Valencia on Friday, to undergo medical checks and sign his new contract.
It is still not clear how much Valencia will pay Boca for the Argentine Under-20 international.
"Now it is up to me," he said, "to take advantage of this opportunity that has been given to me."
