Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has revealed that star goalkeeper David de Gea will not be considered for selection for tomorrow's Premier League opener against Tottenham Hotspur.

  • Mikel Arteta insists 27yo star won't be leaving Arsenal

  • The Spain international has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid this summer, and it is thought that the 24-year-old will seal his dream switch before the transfer deadline.

Van Gaal has now insisted that the talented shot-stopper will be left out of United first league game against Spurs due to the ongoing negotiations.

"David shall not play so I don't have any concerns [about him not being ready]," the Dutchman told reporters. "I think about the human being more than the player and I don't think he can handle that."
