Queens Park Rangers have reportedly lowered their asking price for star striker Charlie Austin.
The 26-year-old has been heavily linked with a move back to the Premier League following the R's relegation to the Championship.
In spite of the speculation, the R's have been adamant that they would not offload their star asset for anything less than £15m.
However, The Mirror claims that Newcastle had made a fresh approach, and were told that the player's price had dropped.
It is added that the R's would now accept a fee of around £13m for Austin, a sum which is still too steep for the Tyneside outfit.
Tottenham Hotspur are also interested in the former Burnley man.
