Manchester City are ready to battle it out with Manchester United for the services of Barcelona attacker Pedro this summer.

  • The Spain international has made up his mind to join a Premier League club before the transfer deadline.

United have been tipped to acquire the Spaniard's signature after they agreed to trigger his £22 release clause.

However, The Mail claims that arch rivals City are likely to match the player's buy-out clause, and are confident of luring the 27-year-old to the Etihad on a bigger wage package.

Pedro scored the winning goal for Barca as they won the UEFA Super Cup against Sevilla by a 5-4 scoreline.
