Everton are considering a summer move for Dynamo Moscow defender Alexander Buttner as a potential replacement for Leighton Baines, who recently underwent an ankle surgery.
Baines is expected to be sidelined for at least three months having undergone a surgery on his ankle, and this leaves the club with Bryan Oviedo and Brendan Galloway as his options for the left-back role.
According to The Mail, manager Roberto Martinez will jump into the transfer market for a new recruit, despite the backup offered by the pair.
It is added that the Toffees will look to sign the Dutchman on a short-term loan deal, as they seek to add more steel to their defence.
Buttner joined Dynamo from Manchester United last summer.
