The Italy international has struggled during his time at the Reds, and has been tipped to seek a fresh challenge this summer.

Recent reports had claimed that the Hornets were exploring a potential deal for the former Manchester City star.

However, the Watford Observer claims that the Hornets have no desire to make any kind of move for the 25-year-old frontman.

Watford are currently 12th in the league standings.
