Tottenham Hotspur defender Federico Fazio is expected to undergo a series of medical tests ahead of his proposed move to West Bromwich Albion.

The Argentine defender is understood to be closing in on a switch to the Baggies, after Spurs agreed a fee of around &pound5m for his transfer.

Sky Sports News claims that the former Sevilla man will agree terms over a contract once he has a successful medical at the Midlands outfit.

Fazio joined Spurs from Sevilla last summer, and has since then struggled to earn a regular role in the first-team.
