Reading to keep hold of Hunt

07 January 2008 - 18:12

Reading boss Steve Coppell has insisted that midfielder Steve Hunt will not be going anywhere despite Sunderland making an insufficient offer for the player. Hunt has been superb for The Royals this year and several clubs are reportedly interested in the player.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • Coppell insists that Hunt will not leave: "We had one offer from Sunderland and that was insufficient. But he still has two-and-a-half years left on his contract and there is no scenario where he will leave in this transfer window," said Coppell.

"I don't expect anyone to go."

Hunt is valued by Reading at around £5 million.
